you've never heard this....

Okay, dudes. How about a never-before heard Gillian Welch cover?

the mp3: Look At Miss Ohio
can you say "rough mix"? I knew that you could.

Guess who was still learning this program when she recorded it?

Happy Hippo by Cloud Cult

I love how this song by Cloudcult is so happy, and how he rhymes hippopotamus with matt-er-ess.

The bells are nice, and it stays pretty light until about 1:20 when it starts to sound a little bit like Nine Inch Nails. I'm not complaining, as I LOVES me some NIN. It's just an interesting change. Then, if that wasnt' enough change, he suddenly goes into a semi-cover of Neil Young. It's three songs in one.

Unsatifying? or interesting? Please weigh in.

David can shred like a Mother Fucker!

This a 2 part Twang Twang Shock A Boom show that happened in California in July 1996.
It was a large outdoor festival called High Sierra and they had all of this fancy rock show equipment there. David played through one of those big Vox amps and I think it inspired him to play louder, faster and rockier than ever before.
His solo on the last song, "Emotional Grind" is my favoritist that I have ever heard him do.
Maybe he will outdo himself next weekend in Austin as Twang plays for the first time in 10 years:
Cactus Cafe - Friday night 12:00 Midnight
& Saturday afternoon at Toney Burger Center Sus-Tain-A-Ball 1:00 P.M.
